LAHORE: Fourth division bench of The Lahore High Court (LHC) was dissolved on Thursday after a judge refused to consider a petition filed by Vice President Mariam Nawaz. of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) seeks comeback of her passport to visit her father Nawaz Sharif in United Kingdom.
Two bench judges led by Judge Ali Bakar Najafi and composed of of Judge Anwaar ul-Haq Pannun was dismissed after the latter recused himself and sent the case back to the boss justice.
This is the fourth time since April that the Supreme Court declined take up petition.
Nawaz surrendered her passport to the court when post-arrest bail was given to her in Chaudhry Sugar Mills bribery case on November 4, 2019
National Accountability Bureau (NAB) opposes return of travel document to Nawaz stating that her brothers and other members of in family are already in London will take care of Sharif who went to the British capital in 2019 on pretext of treatment and has since refused to return.
