“Our investigation is clearly shows that operations that close tend to do so as result of the pressure that all GP practices experience facing.
“In many cases this triggered retired of single general practitioner and lack of of GP to replace them which meant workload on the remaining HPs become unstable.
“We call on to all NHS managers and ministers of health to prioritize supporting general practice with specific measures and funding that does not come with additional load.

An NHS spokesman said: “These figures show which is only about 20 general practice closed over in last year which is a tiny part of 6,485 practices that offer patient care.
