Texas gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke said Sunday he is taking a break from campaign trace after infection with a bacterial infection.
O’Rourke said he felt sick. on Friday and diagnosed with infection in a Methodist hospital in San Antonio, where he received antibiotics.
“Although my symptoms have improved, I will rest in home in El Paso in conformity with doctor’s advice,” he said. tweeted Sunday.
O’Rourke, who it works against Texas Governor Greg Abbott in November elections, said he would have to postpone some events because of his illness, but will back on in campaign trace like soon as possible.
O’Rourke recently made headlines so far on in campaign drag in North Texas when he scolded a bully during campaign rally.
