ISLAMABAD:
local court in Islamabad on Wednesday rejected the Islamabad police request. for extension in arrested Shahbaz Gill and sent the Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader to prison on judicial arrest.
Judicial Magistrate Malik Aman denied a seven-day police request for an extension of the arrest. of Imran Khan’s boss of expired today.
Gills counsel, Faisal Chaudhry, told the court that he planned to get power of the lawyer signed today, to which the judge informed him that he already was previously signed.
The referee asked about Gill’s presence in court at the beginning of hearing, to which Chaudhry reported that his client had not yet arrived at the premises, and asked if should proceed with his arguments.

The judge then asked for case papers, saying that comments in investigator’s document need to be considered before arguments begin.
Following Gill’s arrival, Special Prosecutor Raja Rizwan Abbasi presented his arguments for extension in period of physical detention of accused.
He noted that the police need Gill in detention for a polygraph test after registering an individual case against his for possession of unlicensed firearms.
Moreover, he claimed that Gill’s room in the parliamentary boxes was searched during his two days of physical detention, during which phones and four USB drives were seized, and the police need interrogate the accused about the confiscated items.
He added that the main cell phone used by Jill has not yet been found, and the polygraph test needs to be in Lahore.
The judge asked if there was a request for polygraph test did not have already made during Gill’s previous remand hearing. special the prosecutor replied that this was not requested at the time last hearing, but in the preliminary hearing was adjourned.

The judge noted that the polygraph test should have been held in Islamabad on August 22 by court order.
Prosecutor Abbasi agreed that he could be carried out in federal capital. He added that while the police made progress in probe, the whole investigation is not yet complete as some aspects are yet to be covered and Gill also needs to be interrogated.
He also argued that the progress was ‘in front of each’ and individual case was also filed against Jill during this period.
Gills counsel pointed out that the accusation failed to challenge the judge’s order for additional hearings, as they sought eight days of into custody, and only two were satisfied.
He also criticized the prosecution’s reasoning. behind extension with the words: “What phones are they want? There are four phones already was captured.”
“Today, 16 days have passed, the police did nothing but torture Shahbaz Gill,” he said. added.
The judge stated that 48 hours have been provided for physical detention and the court cannot approve a further extension.
In response, the prosecutor began to read the decision of Judge of additional sessions Zeba Chaudhry. Judge Aman said that the previous judge did not mention that the magistrate give further arrest.
Request for extension of detention was rejected by the court because he argued that the order issued by the judge of the supplementary hearing was final.

After the hearing, Gill Chaudhry’s lawyer spoke to media and said bail would be filed immediately for PTI leader’s release, adding that it’s all about against It was founded on “nothing but lies.”
Chaudhry added that “torture in detention” should be discouraged by everyone, and everyone should stand up against It.
