Imran Khan arrested on terrorism charges

Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and deposed prime minister Imran Khan received a warning in case of terrorism on a complaint of Islamabad Saddar Magistrate Ali Javed for threatens an additional session of the judge of the federal capital of Zeba Chaudhry.

Rahman stated that on Saturday Imran announced that PTI will file a case against Islamabad IS Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, Deputy Inspector general (DIG) and Extra Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry. He said the threat of filing a case against magistrate was tantamount to “action of terrorism”.

He also complained that Imran tried to prevent the respected judge from performing his duties, adding that the speech of the head of the PTI on party rally in Park F-9 on Saturday hurt dignity and feelings of both the judiciary and the bar. He asked the police arrest Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi.

Islamabad police reacted separately on Sunday before warnings issued by PTI chairman against Metropolitan Police a day ago, saying in statement on Twitter that “anyone threatening the police or creating false charges will be considered with in accordance with the law.”

They are added that the police swore an oath to serve the nation at all times. “All officers render their services with complete responsibility and continue to fulfill them,” they said.

“The police are an organized institution and we must perform our responsibilities. The police couldn’t deal in any mismanagement.” The Islamabad police confirmed that they would take legal action. against “all false accusations.”
