ISLAMABAD: The popularization of science is one of in key goals of Pakistan’s “Science Diplomacy Initiative”, through which it actively promotes local scientific and technological advances and connects local stakeholders. with international partners, Foreign Minister Sohail Mahmoud said.
Mahmoud made comments when contacting event organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with Khorezm Scientific Society, a local non-profit organization working on science as well as technology.
He said that science promotion is vital for usage science, technology and innovation as an incentive for socio-economic development.
“Societies that value and encourage science whether societies enjoy influence and respect in in international community”, foreign secretary added.
emphasizing support in promotion science as well as technology globally, he noted role Pakistan played in in development of various interstate scientific organizations.
it need of hour before use science promotion to further enhance impact of current activities and engage in capacity-building of young scientists, said Mahmoud.
“Technological progress and social innovation is very important as we face global challenges of food security and climate change,” said the foreign secretary.
