Woman dies after falling 100 feet while walking in Columbia River Gorge, outside Portland, Oregon, on Friday afternoon, authorities said.
Woman, who not immediately recognized, walked with a group of friends at the Wiesendanger Falls, part of the federal park is better known for next to Multnomah Falls when she fell shortly after 1pm, local resident fire Sheriff’s representatives said.
Eyewitnesses performed CPR as Corbett Fire Department rescuers and representatives from the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office responded and then walked 1.3 miles from trailhead to trailhead. location of the fall, fire department said in statement.
