LAHORE: The Judicial Judge on Friday issued arrest guarantees for a dozen PML-N leaders, including prime ministers special assistant Ata Tarar, in attitude towards the uproar raised in the Punjab Assembly.
The case was registered against PML-N leaders over the noise that took place in April during the chief minister election – when Hamza Shahbaz was elected up office.
During today’s hearing, Police Station Investigator Qila Gujar appeared before Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Mudassir Hayat, where he sought extradition of arrest guarantees for PML-N leaders.
The police officer told the judge that despite the registration of the case against them, the PML-N leaders deliberately refused show up for investigation.
The judge then approved arrest guarantees of politicians.
Arrest warrants issued for Tarar, Rana Mashhud Ahmad Khan, Awais Leghari, Muhammad Mirza Javed, Malik Saif ul Maluk Khokhar, Pir Heather Hayat Shah Khagga, Raja Sakhir Ahmed, Mian Abdul Rauf, Pir Muhammad Ashraf Rasool, Bilal Farooq Tarar and Rana Mannan Khan.

In reply, former main minister Hamza condemned arrest warrants and reported that the searches conducted by the police at the place of residence of PML-N leaders have demonstrated “dictatorial” thinking.
“This fascist government can’t break the spirit of Muslim League with their mischievous actions. Police raids at Mashood’s home violated privacy of his house”, – said the leader of the PML-N.
He said Punjab government is using police for revenge, adding that PTI Chairman Imran Khan using provincial government persecute the PML-N leadership.
“I applaud the courage of those who faced oppression and violence for [nearly four] years. I was being held behind bars for 1.5 years in political matter,” he said. added.
