The rains bring more destruction of Balochistan villages – Pakistan

Heavy rains continue to wreak havoc in Balochistan after new spelling of rains caused flash flood in The Lasbela area and surrounding areas, resulting in several villages being flooded.

talking to Dawn.comThis was stated by Deputy Commissioner Lasbela Murad Kasi. flood water entered villages including Raza Mohammad Goth and Kalmati Goth. in Utal area.

The Deputy Commissioner said that ground communication between Uthal and the others of Lasbela was disabled after the pillar collapsed in on road connecting two points.

He said 12 people were saved from one of flooded villages.

“An alternative route prepared three days ago near the Landa River. in Uthal was washed off once again because of the flood,” he said.

He urged motorists avoid using Quetta-Karachi National Highway, talking about renovation work take at least two more days.

Two cars were also washed away in floods on Wednesday, night near zero point area of Utal, however, the locals with in help of Social workers rescued five people on board two vehicles.

Meanwhile, the provincial government urged the federal government provide special package of 60 billion rupees for repair of infrastructure and rehabilitation of flood-hit families.

Balochistan government sent to Islamabad a resolution recently adopted by the provincial assembly. “Baluchistan, with scarce resources, is unable to rehabilitate destroyed areas and compensate people who suffered a huge financial damages,” the ruling said.

He asked the provincial government contact the federal government for a special package of at least 50-60 billion rubles. for rehabilitation of 32 destroyed county and refuse off all utility bills and agricultural loans in areas declared disasterhit areas.

Bye 206 people lost their lives in province during current monsoon season, according to Dawn report.
