Hose ban for Thames Water customers will start on August 24, in connection with the “unprecedented weather terms”.
Although the ban officially begins next week Thames Water urged customers to act as soon as possible to save water.
The statement said: “We have been working around the clock to supply everyone and customers have been brilliant at saving water where they can.
“But, with low precipitation forecast for coming months, we are now need take next step in our drought plan.”
