ISLAMABAD/QUETTA: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday at the direction of the authorities concerned to ensure distribution of 50,000 rupees instead of Allowance of 30,000 rubles each flood affected family in in flood-hit areas through a transparent process within three days.
presiding over meeting of Aid Coordination Committee, prime minister said aid of 50,000 rupees each flood-affected family will be provided by the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) under supervision of National Disaster Management Administration (NDMA).

The meeting was attended by Federal Ministers Miftah Ismail, Ahsan Iqbal, Marriyam Aurangzeb, Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Maulana Asad Mehmood, Prime Minister’s Adviser Qamar Zaman Kaira, NDMA Chairman Lieutenant General Akhtar Nawaz and relevant senior officials.

At the meeting, it was said that a survey would be conducted in coordination with provincial governments to assess damage caused by recent spell of rains and floods.
The meeting was informed that by the time the survey is completed, the government, through BISP, will provide Rs 30,000 cash relief for everyone flood-affected family.
AT prime minister, however, aimed at strengthening cash Rs 50,000 exemption for every victim family and pay the same under supervision of NDMA.
It was also said at the meeting that since the federal government was in contact with international donors and other philanthropic organizations, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the World Bank already certified of provision of necessary funds for reconstruction of destroyed infrastructure and rehabilitation of flood- affected areas.
