LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday fired plea search for legislation in commemoration of foreign funding, reports ARY News.
Judge Shahid Waheed heard the petition of Farid Adil. advocate. Plaintiff stated that there is political agitation due to lack of legislation in commemoration of foreign funding.
The applicant said that concerned authorities should be directed for legislation to identify use of foreign funds directed to political parties overseas Pakistanis or foreigners.
Judge Shahid Waheed after the initial hearing on in plea rejected it, declaring it unacceptable.

It may be noted that the foreign funding case against Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz are still under consideration in EKP, while decision on The Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf case was announced earlier this month. in which country has the highest electoral body in its verdict stated that PTI received prohibited funding from foreigners and companies.
