Four big firms hired by political parties in US for fundraising

ISLAMABAD: Like Pandora box of opens foreign funding, it became known that the four main political parties of Hiring Services in Pakistan of different firms in United States for fundraising.

According to the report of a private TV channel on On Saturday, these parties are: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Muttahid Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and All Pakistan Muslim League (APML).

Citing relevant documents, the report states that firms have registered in The US was tasked with fundraising for these political parties.

PTI hired services of in highest amount of firms for target, according to the docs. The documents showed that the firm was registered under the name PTI USA LLC.

The documents also reported that another firm was registered under the name of Sajid Burki, through whom PTI raised $2.344 million. in 2010. In 2014, Pakistani-American citizen Aftab Shah transferred $75,000 to party.

Likewise, Sajjad Burki and Faisal Irshad also raised $75,000 in 2015 in USA and financed party with $117,000 in 2017.

Documents showed that MQM-P also registered the company as a non-profit organization (NGO) in United States.

Specified address in in the documents was 90 (Nine Zero) Karachi, where the headquarters was located of MQM before it parted ways with founder Altaf Hussein. Abdul Rehman and Aijaz Siddiqui raised funds for political party abroad and these funds were used in various projects of in party.

APML, which is headed by former President Pervez Musharraf – also All Pakistan Muslim League LLC was registered in United States. political party hired services of three firms along with services of Raza Bukhari and Adil Shah.

Approximately $270,000 was raised. for Musharraf party. The documents showed that APML raised $130,000. in 2011 and $33,500 in 2012.

PPP also registered a company in United States for fundraising in title of former President Asif Ali Zardari.
