ISLAMAMABAD: Federal cabinet approved up electricity prices at Rs 7.91 per unit, according to ARY News. on Tuesday.
Turning to news conference along with Minister of State for Petroleum Musadiq Malik in Islamabad on Tuesday, Minister for Khurram Dastgir authorities said there would be an increase of Rs 3.50 per item from 26th of this month. There will be another upgrade of Rs 3.50 per item from next a month so far in month of In October the tariff will be increased by ninety pice per unit.
Dastgir said increase in electricity tariff will not affect on the poorest consumers. He said that consumers already payment big part of this increase in the form of fuel surcharge. He said that this fuel surcharge will now be reflected in rate.

He said these three months would be difficult for consumers, but electricity prices will start coming down from a month of November After Reflections of fuel surcharge in rate.
Khurram Dastgir said that the cabinet also the possibility of providing gas and electricity to the five main export sectors is being considered on reduced rates. An announcement to that effect will soon to be made. He said that we would give tariff close to regional countries in to support our exports.
Khurram Dastgir said the present government It has reduced circular debt 214 billion rupees. He said steps being taken to reduce line losses.
