Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Assembly Dost Muhammad Mazari on Detailed reasons released on Sunday for rejection 10 Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) votes who paved way for Hamza Shehbaz save post of provincial chief minister during the elections held on July 22 (Friday).

“I have also reviewed the content of directions of in party head of PTI, which formed the basis of seating arrangement of 25 participants and elimination of them votes from the count of vote count of April 16,” the Vice Speaker said.
“Based on on sentence of Supreme Court, various petitions were filed with the Lahore High Court. LHC of five people bench ruled on the motions by order of 30 June and ordered the exclusion votes of 25 members who violated instructions and voted in service of Hamza.
“Consequently, today’s elections were held between Hamza and Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, who were participating candidates in previous elections on 16 April. According to results in terms of procedure laid down down in Second chart, Hamza scored 179 votes while Elahi received 186 votes”.
He said he received instructions given by Chaudhary Shujaat Hussian for MPA PML-Q to vote in service of Hamza.

Mazari said that decision of CAP to support the declaration was founded on violation of instructions issued by Imran Khan and communicated to members by PTI Secretary Asad Umar. decision shows that instructions can be given party head which was supported by the ECP, the detailed ruling says.
