Oak fire explodes in size, force evacuation, create a pyro cloud

BUT new A wildfire has broken out in California, dubbed the Oakfire. in Mariposa County on Friday. fire is located just outside of Yosemite is expanding at an alarming rate rate.

By Saturday morning, CalFire reported that the fire had reached 6,555 acres. up from 1600 acres on Friday is California’s largest wildfire. currently burning. fire is at 0% content.

fire first began on July 22 at 14:10, off of Highway 140 and Carstens Road, near the city. of Midpines, and small mountain community about 30 miles outside of Yosemite National Park. Road closure currently in place.

Ten structures have already lost and another 2000 currently under threat, CalFire said. As of 8:10 am on Saturday, over 400 personnel of 11 different brigades were on site, either helping to contain fire or help with evacuation efforts. There were no reports of firefighters or civilians injured or killed.
