Uwalde School District Police Chief on Tuesday didn’t attend what would have been his first city board meeting as a new member. Pete Arredondo lay low in answer to national firestorm of criticism was directed at his hesitation to stand up to the shooter who killed 19 children and two Robb Elementary School teachers on May 24th. Mayor added that he didn’t talk to the head of the school police in about a week. Arredondo won council elections three weeks before the mass shootings. While the authorities have been slow to provide accurate information on the answer, which remains under investigation, official timeline showed that between first the police entrance to the school and when shooter Salvador Ramos was killed. BUT father of one of victims told KENS 5 on On Tuesday, he would have asked Arredondo at a meeting why he supposedly told his officers not to disturb the class held by Ramos.
