One man was injured in Shooting at the Hillview Branch Library in San Jose, California on June 6, 2022
The children were in the library in San Jose, California when the shooting started out and the man was wounded, multiple wounds media outlets reported.
The shooting occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the Hillview branch library. on Hopkins Drive, adjacent to Clyde L. Fisher High School, reports ABC 7.
Officer Steve Aponte told the San Jose Mercury News that the shooting was gang-related.
A witness told the HTTC that the man firing a gun stalked a man in the library.
Parents told ABC 7 that their children were questioned by the police about what they saw.
“He and his friend were hiding out in room”, Ngia Duong, father of child who was in in the library during filming, the TV channel said. “He told me this one of in windows shot inside the library out.”
The adult man was taken to a hospital where he is expected to survive his injuries, according to the San Jose Police Department. said on Twitter.
There is currently no suspected or known motive, police said on Twitter.
The San Jose Police Department did not immediately respond to a request. for comment.
