LAHORE:
district court judge in Lahore on Saturday ordered concerned quarters for registration first information report (FIR) against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, his son Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shahbaz, Interior Minister Rana Sanaulla and others senior police officers for “injury and torture” of Pakistani workers of PTI (Tehreek-e-Insaf) and deprivation of their opportunities joining in party long march.
petitioner, advocate Afzal Azim stated that senior police officers tortured PTI supporters and used batons and tear gas to keep them from joining in the partyprotest.
He called the actions of the police officers “a serious offence.” in with which the security forces tortured citizens who exercised their democratic right of protest.
Azim also claimed in his petition that this crime was committed by the highest police officers”on whims of premier, provincial leader minister and interior minister’. He also made CCPO, DIG and other senior police officers as respondents.

petitioner begged the court to visit concerned police station, but the police didn’t seem to want to register the FIR against those whom he named, and asked the court to direct concerned SHO for FIR registration against aforementioned.
An additional district and session judge had previously been appointed. also ordered SHO Bhati Gate Police Station to register criminal case against interior minister Rana Sanaulla, eight police officers including CCPO Lahore and DIG Operations, 400 people. unknown officials for attacking, torturing and harming lawyers vehicles when they were going to Islamabad to join long march.
