Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif lands in Turkey on first visit

ANKARA/ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif landed on Tuesday in Turkish capital for three day visit first since the adoption office last month.

High-level delegation including Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Investment Council Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain, prime ministers special assistants Tarik Fatemi and Fahad Hussein – accompany prime Minister of Foreign Affairs Bilawal Bhutto Zardari join delegation later on.

Like both countries celebrate 75th anniversary of creation of diplomatic relations, both leaders will jointly present a logo marking the beginning of celebrations.

Before he left, in Interview with Anadolu Agency, prime minister assured the activation of bilateral trade with Ankara, promising to make Pakistan an independent and politically stable state.

He said two countries had each other back against all challenges during last seven plushalf decade of diplomatic relations.

“Pakistan and Turkey support each other on all questions of basic national interest, whether it be Jammu and Kashmir or Northern Cyprus,” Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said in response to a question.

The prime minister thanked the republic of Turkey and its leadership for fundamental support on in issue of Kashmir.
