Prime Minister Shehbaz presented the relief package to protect the poor from exposure of inflation one day after PML-N-led government raised prices of oil products at 30 rubles per liter.
In his first speech to the nation on On Friday, the prime minister said as part of of his relief package 2,000 rupees each will be paid to poor families across the country to cope with the situation with in rising inflation.
“We took hard decision raise fuel prices global [petroleum] prices rising… previous government granted subsidies on fuel for political conquests,” he said. added.
“It’s tough decision is an important step rule the country out of crisis and stabilization.
The premier said the scholarship will be provided to deserving families under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) and added what government-run utility stores throughout the country it was ordered to sell a 10-kilogram bag of flour for 400 rupees.
He accused former prime minister Imran Khan government for destroying the economy, saying that last PTI mode adopted tough conditions of International Monetary Fund (IMF), which he says made life of the masses are unhappy.
