Government decides to suspend internet services in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Federal government decided to suspend internet services across the country in view of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf March (PTI), ARY News reports. on Wednesday.

higher authorities gave instructions to two big Internet companies Transworld and PIE have suspended their Internet services across the country.

It became known that Internet services of Transworld were shut down while government is also preparing to suspend the Internet service PIE. Consumers will face serious difficulties after closing of internet services.

In the previous decision, government ordered to stop immediately of cellular services in 11 districts of Punjab.

In accordance with telecom sources, mobile telephone service is terminated immediately.

The government issued an order for suspense of cellular services in 11 districts, in commemoration of long PTI march towards Islamabad.

Orders have been issued for suspense of Services in 11 districts including Gujrat, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sargodha, Khoshab, Mianwali, Sialkot, Jhelum and Rawalpindi until evening.

This is practice of government authorities in Pakistan to suspend cell service step for in maintenance of law and order. However, this measure causes interrupt of connection between people result in indignation from general public.
