ISLAMABAD: O and A level exams scheduled on May 25 were postponed, the British Council, which administers the exams, said in a statement on Tuesday.

Speaking with Geo.tvMrs. Shafgufta, whose daughter appears in her A2 exams in June of this year, said: “Last year when my daughter appeared in her A1 exams, they were called off due to the pandemic and as a result it had to appear in October November session.”
She claimed that the score threshold for some items – like business psychology and sociology – was so high that students achieved a general bad result when they appeared in October November session.
“Now the same thing will happen to this party after again. Students cook for June exams, but because of gap, they must prepare for October November session again, which reduces their enthusiasm.”
On the other hand, Sufi*, A2 student said that her main caring for university admission in timely fashion.
“Appearance in October November session as of cancellation of an exam right now means I’ll get mine results in January 2023. Therefore, I cannot start university in September of this year and will have to wait for whole year,” she said.
Students and parents also were told they had to pay a hefty examination fee. “Not me sure if the exam fee is refunded. I paid up up to 180,000 rupees worth of examination fees for two of my children appearance in O and A Level exams, respectively,” Ms. Shagufta complained.
Cancel of other exams
Not only O and A Level exams, but also exams of Certificate of maturity in Lahore and Rawalpindi cancelled. Likewise, examinations scheduled at the Punjab University also was postponed.
Examinations at Lahore College for Women’s university and exams for at Allama Iqbal Open University also was detained.
However, Allama Iqbal Open University announced what postponed Exams for BA (associate degree), BS and B Ed will be held on June 23rd.
