The police were contacted with a report that the woman found not responding inside property in Sharoe Green Lane around 2:00 pm. on Sunday (May 15).
Female – who later named 43rd.year-old Sarah Ashcroft – pronounced dead when the emergency services arrived.

A 44-year- old man from Preston arrested on suspicion of murder was later released on bail while investigations continue.
Children’s Chief Inspector Mark Haworth-Oates, of The Force Major investigation team stated: “My thoughts remain with Sarah family currently and we continue to offer them support of family communications officers.
“The man we arrested has been released. on police on bail allow us carry out further investigations and our investigation continues as we try to piece together the circumstances surrounding Sarah. death.
“I would continue to anyone who or saw something suspicious in in area by the address on Saturday or Sunday, or anyone who knows Sarah and could information who could help or request come forward and contact us.
“Please come and talk to us even if you don’t think information you have it important how could it help us understand what happened and help give answers for Sarah family”.
