Donald Robertson was convicted by unanimous verdict at the Royal Court of Reading. of murder 26-year- old Shani Warren, and of kidnapping and rape of a teenager in 1981, decades after his “terrible” crimes.

body of Miss Warren who lived in Stoke Poges in Buckinghamshire, was found bound and gagged in lake in Lake Taplow on Easter weekend that year.

Robertson did not attend the trial, and the dock was empty. on Tuesday as a jury found he is guilty of both crimes.
He was condemned of in false imprisonment, indecent assault and murder of Miss Warren from 16 to 19 April.
Miss Warren’s wrists were tied. with a car jump lead and her ankles were tied with a tow cable.
Robertson was also found guilty of kidnapping and rape of sixteen-year- old lady who cannot be identified on July 16, 1981
He was described by the police as “evil” and as someone with “long and terrible list of previous convictions.
The police has also said it was “regret” that there was not enough evidence at the time to convict him with rape of a teenage girl in Farnham Lane, Slough.
Robertson went on rape 14-year- old girl who riding a bike in Farnham Royal just days after being released by the police in connection with it is a crime. He pleaded guilty to crime in October 1981
And less than two months after the attack and killing Miss Warren, he raped a 17 year old girl who walked home skipping last train just a few miles from Lake Taplow.
He currently service prison offer for that crime being convicted in 2010 after attack unsolved police case team.
New DNA evidence was ‘cornerstone’ of in latest case against Robertson, according to the prosecution, with traces corresponding to it found on Underwear of both victims, and on mouth gag used on Miss Warren.
Thames Valley Police Major crime review teamPrincipal Investigator Peter Beirn said he regrets this. took long enough to bring Robertson to trial, adding that they were only able to do so as “result in achievements in forensic science”.
“It was just that, unfortunately, at the time there was no evidence to support us indict Robertson,” he said.
Mr. Byrne called Robertson an “evil and dangerous” man and a “predator”. who attacked women and girls “throughout their adult lives”, exposing them to “the most horrendous acts”.
