Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) retained its seat in the National Assembly (NA-33), securing victory. in Hangu by-elections held on Sunday, according to unofficial and unconfirmed data results published by the Electoral Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
PTI candidate Dr. Nadeem Khayal scored 20,772 points. votes while Mufti JUI-F Obaidullah arrived second with 18 244 votes and ANP candidate Said Oumar scored 3314 votes.
Voting began at 8:00 am and continued until 5:00 pm without interruption, and there were no reports of any unpleasant incidents in the district.
ECP installed a control room in provincial electoral commissioner office in Peshawar to monitor and address complaints regarding early elections.
NA-33 Hangu became vacant due to death of MNA Hyal Zaman.
