Recently elected Hamza Shehbaz will take the oath in as chief of the Punjab minister today

LAHORE: Recently elected Hamza Shehbaz will take the oath as new main minister of Punjab Today (Sunday) in oath in Ceremony at the Punjab Governor’s House.

Hamza won elections for coveted slot, getting 197 votes the day before.

The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled place at 20:00. However, it remains to be seen whether Hamza will be sworn in by PTI-backed Punjab Governor Omar Sarfraz Cheema.

In the meantime, the Governor’s House received a notice from the vice speaker’s office that Hamza had won. in in CM polls.

The notice obliges the regional governor issue election notice of Hamza on Punjab CMx post.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif congratulated Hamza

On Saturday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PML-N Vice President congratulated Hamza Shahbaz. on become the leader minister of Punjab.

In his congratulations to Hamza on Twitter, Prime Minister Shehbaz, who is an also Hamza’s father wrote: “Congratulations to Hamza. Job hard [and] serve people of Punjab with your heart [and] soul!”

“Process of sending this fascist regime home it wasn’t easy, but tougher challenge is the relief of suffering of people caused due to incompetence, corruption, [and] violent regime of Niazi [Imran Khan],” He wrote.
