BUT session of National Assembly currently in a process where legislators are expected to elect new speaker of Lower house of parliament.

The NA Secretariat published the four-point agenda for today’s voting meeting on in no-confidence resolution against Vice Speaker Qasim Suri, Election of speaker and taking the oath. However, Suri resigned less than an hour before session was planned begin.
Kindergarten started session announcing that Suri had resigned, which was met to loud applause from the deputies present. He said that Suri’s resignation was verified by the NA Secretariat, which later issue in schedule for elections of deputy speaker.
“Because the vice-speaker has resigned office there is no need to accept up agenda item two and three,” he said, giving floor Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Shehbaz gives reasons for load reduction
Prime Minister Shahbaz began his speech by stating that load shedding currently underway in parts of the country. “In time past three days my team and I held meetings with in ministries of oil and finance. current The situation is such that the country has the capacity to generate 35,000 MW of electricity.”
This power is sufficient to meet the needs of country, he said. However, he regrets that some new power factories did not function due to lack of gas and oil, keeping the former government responsible for “gross mismanagement and incompetence.”
Suri Steps Down as Vice Speaker
Qasim Suri resigns as vice speaker of National Assembly on Saturday, less than an hour before session of in house where is the vote on motion of no confidence against he had to take place.
Sharing a copy of his resignation on Twitter, Suri said it move meant his association with Vision of his partyPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Democracy.
“We will never compromise on sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan. We will fight for interests and independence of the country. We will do anything to protect Pakistan,” he tweeted.
PTI leader and former information minister Fawad Chaudhry praised Suri stating that way in with whom he fought against foreign conspiracy” will go down in history. He added that Suri will be remembered as someone who was brave and loyal to his country.
Suri, who It was also served as acting speaker after resignation of Assad Kaiser, faced harsh criticism in last days over controversial decision of April 3 on dismissal no-confidence motion against former prime minister Imran Khan and his decision postpone session Scheduled for election of the Speaker of the National Assembly from April 16 to 22 as a delaying tactic.
Earlier this week he also got under fire for acceptance of resignation of MJPTI, who left the National Assembly en masse right before the elections of Shehbaz Sharif as head of state new prime minister after the exile of the khan. PPP and PML-N blamed Suri of putting pressure on the NA secretariat to accept the resignation.
Just three days before the election of Shehbaz on April 11 and on the day before of exile of the khan former Opposition filed motion of no confidence against Suri, saying that he “repeatedly violated the rules of parliamentary practice, democratic norms and traditions, and even constitutional provisions and presidency over house, failed conduct proceedings in an orderly manner that allows for productive debate on questions of public importance”.
The resolution was presented by Murtaza Javed Abbasi of PML-N, who said that instead of performing it role Suri acted fairly and impartially in “overtly party manner”, which favored government and often deprived of the opposition of their right to voice their views and views of their electorate.

On Friday the participants of NA received a circular from the additional secretary of Legislation of to the Secretariat of the National Assembly of Muhammad Mushtaq, informing them that the proposal for leave move permission for removal of deputy speaker from office will be taken up on April 16 (today).
