The temperature in the UK will fall to minus 6 degrees over weekend | United Kingdom weather

UK getting ready for more winter weather on the weekend with creeping frost in night and temperature set fall to minus 6 degrees in some areas.

Forecasters called “peaks and troughs” of spring will come hit most of the country over in next a week with sunny spells and windy spells expected in most regions.

Met Office meteorologist Simon Partridge spoke about the lows of minus 6C most likely in northern regions on Saturday night, before a slightly softer turn on Sunday.

“It’s going to be cold tonight, with massive freezes in the UK. We could see the number well of points between minus 4C and minus 6C,” he said.

“Usually everything has blossomed and all gardeners do need track for frost tonight because it will cause questions for some, i sure”.

BUT yellow weather warning put in place to national weather forecasters for Saturday has been raised with conditions are milder than on Friday.

Rains are expected on east coasts during the weekend, but temperatures will be less cold overall because of Light wind across the country, he said.

Sun and dry weather can warm up most parts of Great Britain on Sunday but chance of rain edge in over Northern Ireland and Scotland.

“A wetter and windier day round there, and we could see some kind of strong, possibly gale-force wind.force winds around Scotland,” said Partridge.

More unsettled weather is an set to hit most of UK Monday to Wednesday with heavy rain and wind expected.

“This difficulty with spring, its peaks and troughs,” said Partridge.

Ice weather this month comes after Britain experienced its sunniest March since 1929.

Northern Ireland warmed up in 90% more sun than usual for month, with but total of 192.5 hours of Sun.

Scotland saw 64% more sun than usual with but total of 160.1 hours while England’s sunniest March was at 168.1 hours and Wales fifth brightest with 157.9 hours.
