EVENINGS says the “establishment” gave him three options put an end to political turmoil

Prime Minister Imran Khan said Pakistan’s strong “establishment” gave him three options to end the ongoing political unrest in the country; face no trust vote in parliament to hold new elections or step down.

“I said that early elections best option…I never could think of retirement… and for motion of no confidence, I believe I will fight before last minute,” he said.

Prime Minister Imran also claimed to have known about the impending “foreign conspiracy” in London to overthrow him government since august last year.

“This game began in August [last year]… I received reports about people frequenting London from here [Pakistan]… as well as [also received] reports from departments,” the prime minister said.

He also claimed that PML-N head Nawaz Sharif, who lived in London since 2019 for treatment, conspired against his government.

“He [Nawaz] often held meetings with faces who are against military and spent last meeting with Hussein Haqqani on March 3,” said Imran Khan.

When questioned, Prime Minister Imran denied rumors that he was going to de-notify Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and added that it was “propaganda spread by the PML-N”.

“I can never think of do anything that is detrimental to our armed forces… our country needs a strong military”.

Prime Minister Imran says he will never speak against country military. “Despite the problems, I will never discuss them publicly because Pakistan needs a strong army and we should do nothing that causes hurts [military]”, he remarked.

Talking about the declared deadlock over new appointment of chief of intelligence in October last yearPrime Minister Imran admitted that he wanted General Faiz Hamid to remain ISI CEO until winter due to concerns of Civil War in Afghanistan.

“He [General Qamar] it was different view in about it while I was thinking as CEO of country,” the prime minister said, dispelling the impression that his approach was based on “favoritism”.

Prime Minister Imran said he has not yet thought about extending the term of office of the current army commander or appointing new military head.

When asked if he still enjoys the bonds of the heart with in military head, the prime minister said: “Relations are fine.”

Yesterday Prime Minister Imran said he was paying price in in shape of “foreign plot hatched by the United States” to overthrow the incumbent. government through non-confidence motion for pursuing an “independent foreign policy”.

In an address to the nation, he stated that on March 7 government received a message from another country through Pakistan’s ambassador there saying “they will forgive all Pakistan’s fears if Imran Khan is expelled. Otherwise, Pakistan would have to face difficulties”.

His administration was late on On Thursday evening filed a formal protest with United States over threatening letter that warned of dire consequences if the opposition does notconfidence motion against Prime Minister Imran failed.
