LAHORE: The archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby landed at Lahore airport on a three day visit in Pakistan early Saturday evening.
Special Representative of the Prime Minister (SRPM) for Interreligious-Harmony and the Middle East Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi accompanied by the President of the church of Pakistani bishop Azad Marshal received the archbishop of Canterbury to Allama Iqbal International Airport.
During his three-day visit, the archbishop of Canterbury will meet with President Dr. Arif Alvi, Foreign Prime Minister Imran Khan minister And various religious and political leaders. The archbishop will do it also visit the Grand Jamia Bahria Town Mosque.
President of Pakistan Ulema Council and SRPM for Interreligious Harmony and the Middle East Allama Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi and President of the church of Pakistani Bishop Azad Marshall will host a dinner for the archbishop in visit of Canterbury Justin Welby.
Tahir Ashrafi said the archbishop of Canterbury is a spiritual leader of the communityed Christian is respected and loved by all over the world.
Said the people and the government of Pakistan welcomes the archbishop of Canterbury, as his visit would promote interfaith harmony in Pakistan.
