The president of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser on On Thursday he said a plane carrying Pakistani lawmakers was not allowed to land in Kabul last year for “political reasons,” according to Dawn.
In April last a parliamentary delegation led by Qaiser left for Afghanistan on one three days official visit but was back home minutes after the Afghan authorities failed to do so allow their plane will land at Kabul airport.
The NA speaker commented on the situation for the true first time on Thursday, citing political reasons behind the accident.
Speak at a gathering of Pakistani and Afghan businessmen in Islamabad said: “My visit in Afghanistan was hit from politics. I had not commented on the accident in that moment”.
At the Pakistan-Afghanistan Joint Chamber and Industry (PAJCCI) Stakeholder Meeting, delegates highlighted political differences should to be set aside because they have an impact on bilateral and transit trade between countries.
The speaker endorsed the views and said it was a shame politics has become an obstacle in other issues.
“Policy should not play a role in trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan, “Qaiser said, calling on Pakistani and Afghan traders launch proposals to strengthen bilateral trade and remove the obstacles that concern him.
The NA speaker is gone on to say that Prime Minister Imran is “monitoring relations with Afghanistan, ”adding that he is supporting for the Afghans to an international level and call for the release of them frozen assets.
“The prime minister urged the international community to avert the humanitarian crisis in village [that has been] devastated for years of conflict, “he said.
