Incident took place at the Circuito de Interlagos in Brazil
The driver of a passenger car forced the interruption of a race and the entry on the track of the Safety Car, after having entered, she, by mistake, on the circuit of the Interlagos Circuit, in Brazil.
The situation that is not unprecedented (but we’ll be there…) happened in the middle of the Brazilian Mercedes championship race -Benz Challenge, when the driver of a Mini, who went to participate in a side event, entered the track by mistake without anyone expecting it – including her.
In the shared video it is noticeable that the conductor, certainly realizing that she had made a mistake on the track , turns on the four blinkers and stands at the exit at Curva do Café, waiting for help to leave the place.
The 29-year-old conductor who, according to «Globoesporte.com», participated in a ‘drag race’ he said that he made a mistake on the way when he left the place and that he entered the the track without realizing it, not having found any signage, barrier or commissioner barrier to prevent it.
With the Safety Car in front of the race cars, the situation was eventually resolved, but the Mini’s conductor, as she mentioned, didn’t win for the scare with the situation.
Unusual, but not unheard of, as we mentioned, this type of episode had already been recorded on video when a Volkswagen Polo entered on track in the middle of a «Carbage» race at Brands Hatch in 2014.
