In addition to the ‘standard’ RGB lighting, the OLED display of previous Thor power supplies also returns. Several different animations can be programmed on the screen, but out of the box the display provides live insight into the active power efficiency.
Apart from the three new Platinum II models, Asus introduces another flagship model on its own: the ROG Thor 1600W Titanium. Not only does the heavier power supply boast titanium power efficiency and higher wattage, the power supply also features gallium nitride MOSFET modules and a built-in digital controller for even greater power efficiency. Asus’ Titanium power supply also uses the same design as the Platinum II series, including RGB capabilities, PWM fan and OLED display .
It is not yet clear when the new power supplies will appear on the (Benelux) market. An exact price for the various versions has not yet been discussed.
