Increasing turnover through chips for game consoles
For AMD li ef did well in the chips business for game consoles, among other things, in the third quarter. Sales in the area rose by around 69 percent to 1.9 billion dollars. The division threw an operating profit of 542 million dollars – after 141 million a year earlier.
AMD’s business with processors and graphics chips for computers and servers in data centers grew by around 44 percent to about 2.4 billion dollars. It brought in an operating profit of $ 513 million, a good third more than in the same quarter last year.

While its own processors were in demand, manufacturers were able to build fewer notebooks due to the lack of other components.
