In addition to Berlin, the handover of Tesla’s first plant in Germany was celebrated with a festival of thousands of people, which was also attended by CEO Elon Musk on Saturday night.
Musk hopes that in the coming weeks, they will be given the green light by the authorities to start up the plant and production may begin. The goal is to produce 500,000 cars a year, more than double the number of electric cars made in Germany last year.

The consultation on public concerns will end on 14 October, after which the Ministry of the Environment will decide whether to grant the permit.
