The meeting came a day after Pyongyang launched its newly developed anti-aircraft missile, the latest in a series of weapons tests that included a hypersonic missile, ballistic missiles and a cruise missile with potential nuclear capabilities. North Korea, the Security Council meeting means “blatant ignorance and an unjust infringement” on its sovereignty and represents a “grave and intolerable provocation.”
