IGN has shared the first photos of Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, the upcoming video game movie.
In the photos are Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield and Avan Jogia as Leon S. Kennedy, main characters of the game franchise. Also featured are Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine.”This movie has nothing to do with the previous franchise,” director Johannes Roberts said in an interview. with IGN. “This was all about going back to the games and making a horror movie, unlike the previous sci-fi action movies.” Roberts also says he is inspired by the 2019 remake of Resident Evil 2, and films like The Exorcist and The Shining. Welcome to Raccoon City was shot completely in the dark.The film will be shown in cinemas on December 3rd.
