Digital technologies also take disease prevention, rescue and treatment to a new level. Especially for children, for whom innovative tools can be a simple, fast and efficient solution in critical moments – believes K&H, which supports the digital development of child health care. The pandemic has accelerated the development of digital healthcare for at least two years, according to a survey by research firm Roland Berger last year. According to another study, based on an examination of 500 industry experts and the top 100 health platforms, by 2025, funding for digital health could reach € 232 billion in the European Union and € 1,000 billion globally. “Digital solutions make every area of life simpler, faster and more convenient. It would be a crime not to make the most of this in healthcare. Innovative medical devices and technologies should therefore play a key role in prevention, rescue and treatment,” says Nóra Horváth Magyary, K&H’s Managing Director of Communications. “The aim is to make modern health technologies available to as many people as possible and to as many people as possible, which is why we also support the digital development of children’s health.”
The future of patient care is here
Industry experts also agree that the role of innovative medical technologies in personalized healthcare will increase dramatically in the coming years. For example, precision medicine based on artificial intelligence takes into account individual genetics, environmental influences, and even the patient’s lifestyle and eating habits in addition to analyzing symptoms. The resulting individual lifestyle suggestion will help prevent disease, and you will find the most effective treatment with the fewest side effects for an already established problem. The soaring telemedicine service makes the specialist consultation available within a few minutes via video call.
The number of medical robots is gradually increasing throughout the world, as they have numerous advantages and uses: assisting in surgeries, administering drugs, supervising patients, and so on. It’s no coincidence that, according to Markets & Markets Analysis, the total turnover of medical robots could reach as much as $ 22.1 billion in six years. And 3D technology is playing an increasingly important role in the production of medical devices – not only internationally, but already at home. For example, the Low-Cost Robotics team, developed in the Start it @ K & H incubator program, uses this technology to develop unique yet affordable prostheses for children between the ages of 6 and 16.
