The growth of the Gira shared bicycle mobility network now reaches Olivais with five more stations for users
EMEL opened the first five stations yesterday, July 29th of the Shared Bicycle Network, in Olivais, with the opening of four more in the Parish in the coming weeks.
According to the company’s statement, this new opening of stations for bicycles intends to be one more contribution so that “Lisbon is a city in which mobility is increasingly fun and sustainable”.
The mobility and parking company in Lisbon ensures that it is “aware of the importance of simple and relaxed urban mobility” and is committed to offering residents and all citizens in general a more decarbonised and inclusive city.

With this opening, Lisbon will now have 96 Gira Stations in operation, representing a total of around 1,800 bicycle docks, and 49 more stations are planned to be installed by the end of September.
PUBCurrent The city has, in circulation, more than 900 bicycles belonging to the Gira Shared Bicycle Network.
The five GIRA Stations that come into operation in Olivais are:
- 134 – Praça Cidade do Luso
- 132 – Berlin Avenue / Cabinda City Street
- 150 – Avenida Dr. Francisco Luis Gomes / Go Fit
- 133 – Rua Cidade de Benguela / Avenida Cidade de Luanda
- 131 – Avenue Berlin / Baden Powell Square
