The Orb X must be a part of ‘CMIX’ — Cooler Master Immersive Experience . Under this banner, Cooler Master wants to focus more on vr, ar and, for example haptic feedback. The Orb X does not seem to be able to ‘move with’ games for the time being, although Cooler Master does seem to be working on gaming chairs where that is the main note of the product is.Cooler Master is organizing an online meeting these days, the Cooler Master Summit 2021 where more product reveals are made. Tomorrow, the manufacturer will reveal more about the upcoming lineup of components and all-new equipment.
Cooler Master Unveils Orb X; all-in-one entertainment capsule
Hardware manufacturer Cooler Master has unveiled the ‘Orb X’; a kind of all-in-one couch for gaming or working. Prices and availability are yet to be announced, but the entertainment capsule promises tons of luxury.
The Cooler Master Orb X is a semi-closed cockpit, which can be ‘closed’ entirely with touch controls around the user. The capsule has space for a 49-inch display, or three screens of 27 inches each. As for the actual seat, it should be a fixed milled gaming chair, with six adjustable components. Cooler Master calls the chair ergonomic, with support for lumbar, neck and head. The intention is that you can play or work in the Orb X for hours without a struggle.
A 2.1 sound system is directly included in the giant cockpit pill, though Cooler Master hasn’t specified yet how powerful it is — let alone roughly where the speakers are located. There would also be a “secret compartment” to build in your console or PC. How
that exactly works (and how much space there is for components and cables) remains a mystery for now.To complete the gaming aesthetic, the capsule is also lined with RGB lighting on the monitor holder, sides and underside of the furniture. This can probably be controlled via Cooler Master’s MasterPlus+ software, but the brand has not made any official claims about this either.
