The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud presented the King Abdulaziz Necklace in appreciation to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman.
The Sultan of Oman also presented the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques the Order of Al Said, which is considered the highest Omani decorations in appreciation of him.
Then the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Sultan of Oman witnessed, in the presence of Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, the signing of a memorandum of understanding regarding the establishment of the Saudi-Omani Coordination Council.
It was signed by Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman.
The signing of the MoU was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior (the accompanying minister), Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet, National Security Adviser Musaed bin Muhammad Al-Aiban, and Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi. Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs, Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, and General Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Noamani, Minister of the Royal Office, and Hamoud bin Faisal Al-Busaidi, Minister of Interior.
