Partnership for the development of hypercars will be headquartered in Croatia
Bugatti, Rimac and Porsche are three dream sports car brands that have started to cross destinations with a partnership in which the beneficiaries will be the hypercars and their customers.
The Bugatti Rimac is created, combining design and technology for the development of hypercars in a new company in which Porsche will maintain a prominent position as it already does in relation to the Croatian brand.
Mate Rimac will be the Executive Director (CEO) of the new company that will be headquartered in Croatia as part of the new Rimac Group.
Bugatti Rimac will be held 55% by the Rimac Group and 45% by Porsche – which will receive its the position of Volkswagen, which introduces Bugatti in the partnership as owner of both brands.
The Rimac Group will continue to have a shareholder division between Mate Rimac (37%), Porsche ( 24%), Hyundai (12%) and other investors (27%) and will own 100% of Rimac Technology, an independent entity from Bugatti Rimac that will remain versed in the development and manufacture of systems for electric vehicles globally.
Notwithstanding this partnership, both Bugatti and Rimac will remain separate brands with their operations independently both in factories and in vehicle distribution .
