The product range of Szerencsejáték Zrt. Has been expanded with a virtual bet

Szerencsejáték Zrt. Expanded its offer with a new digital product, virtual betting and V-sports in short. According to CEO Gábor Czepek, the game, which started on a quiet trial run on June 3, had 1 billion

The CEO reminded at a press conference on Tuesday that this year the 30-year-old company has accelerated its product development due to the coronavirus epidemic, the first step of which is to reduce its sales revenue by HUF 9 billion. e-sports betting was introduced last summer. In parallel, the company’s online sports betting interface was renewed, then e-lottery tickets were introduced, and virtual betting, or V-sports, was launched a month ago. He added that the new sports betting product is currently available in three sports, football, basketball and tennis, and can be played both online and online.

Regarding the details, Zoltán Horváth, head of sports betting at Szerencsejáték Zrt., Said that the new game is similar to traditional sports betting in many respects, as it can be bet on the outcome of virtual sports events. An important difference, however, is that these matches do not take place in reality, but only in virtual space. Their result is thus in the hands of a random number generator instead of meat-and-blood players and teams, but the odds of different teams and players are adjusted by different multipliers based on a predetermined power order. He emphasized that despite the differences, the thrill of betting and the chances of winning are as real as at traditional sporting events, but they complement the sports betting offer well, as experience has shown that players make the most choice when there are no traditional live sporting events in the world.

Zoltán Horváth drew attention to the fact that V-sport is independent of the team sports season, it can also be used as a type of game at any time and as a lobby for sports betting for new players who can get acquainted with the betting mechanisms without any special background knowledge. According to their expectations supported by research results, this year as well, V-Sport can make a strong contribution to the betting business having a share of over 50 percent in the total sales revenue of Szerencsejáték Zrt.

As stated, during the virtual betting in the case of normal sports, known markets and outcomes are available, based on which players may be familiar with the 1X2, 1st half – 1X2, number of goals, handicap, exact final, half-final outcome type markets (pre-match betting). At the same time, the offer of V-sport also includes the already known long-term (outright type) betting options, where tips can be given to the final winner of some tournaments. However, since a season in V-sport takes up to 1.5-2 hours, outright bets also cover that amount of time. A separate video animation is available for each match, so the players can watch the most important moments of the given virtual match in a few minutes.

Gábor Czepek emphasized that as a responsible national company, the responsible game organization obligations. Virtual betting was also tested with dedicated internationally used target software and classified as medium risk. Thus, the company continues to adhere to the principle of not offering high-risk games. In addition to the usual self-limitation options in time and money, the company limits the number of events that can be accepted on a single coupon to 20 in the online version and 8 in the terrestrial version, and does not allow either Tippmix or Tippmixpro matches V

CEO Gábor Czepek also spoke about the fact that in 2020 the company achieved a record sales revenue of HUF 575.4 million and a profit after tax of more than HUF 23.9 billion. It is planned that this year’s sales will reach HUF 650 billion
