Telegram is introducing several new tools. During voice calls in groups, the camera can now also be switched on and chats receive animations, as Telegram reports.
Video group calls
Up to 30 people can attend participate in a video meeting via Telegram. However, the capacity is to be expanded soon. Pure audio meetings are possible with an unlimited number of people.
The video calls start via the function for group voice chats. During a voice call, the camera can be switched on with a click on the video symbol.
The update also brings up video calls Desktops and tablets. This makes Telegram an option for business meetings or classes.
Telegram also makes it possible to share the screen – optionally for a single program or the whole screen. Whoever shares the screen is automatically pinned.
In addition, background noise should be better suppressed.
Animated backgrounds
The chats get more animations and color. When sending messages, Telegram automatically changes the color gradient of the background. Color, pattern and style can be adjusted.
The messages themselves are also animated: stickers and emojis now “bounce” from the keyboard to chat. On iOS, text messages and other media are also animated.
In addition to the backgrounds and video calls, Telegram also has communication with bots simplified: commands can be searched and selected via a new menu button.
