Hélio Castroneves (Meyer Shank/Honda) won the 105th edition of the 500 Miles of Indianapolis this Sunday, conquering the fourth ring of winner of the classic race of world motorsport.
The Brazilian driver was always running at the front of the race showing himself as one of the favorites to cut the finish line first in the end of the 200 laps at the Indianapolis oval track and confirmed that candidacy, with authority and when it was time to move to first, ahead of Spaniard Alex Palou (Chip Ganassi / Honda).
The third place in the Indy 500 that has had an audience again in the stands, with 135 people thrilled with the race, it was Simon Pagenaud (Penske/Chevrolet).
At 46, Castroneves joins the triumph of this year with those of 2001, 2002 and 2009 to join the group of the only ones who have won the historic event four times: AJ Foyt, Al Unser and Rick Mears.
