While no one can yet tell you exactly how long the chip shortage will last and when video cards will be at human cost again, manufacturers are using all sorts of tricks to ease a bit of the pressure on gamers. Obviously, they care about us to some extent, and they want to make more money, even if the store isn’t going bad right now.
Nvidia has just had a financial report these days, where they shared their experiences with with investors. This revealed that despite the lack of cards and the tumbling of the RTX 3000 series, the company had revenue of $ 5.66 billion in the first fiscal quarter of 2022, an increase of 84% from their performance a year ago.
We don’t even dare to think that the cash register would ring if they had something to sell during the year and they wouldn’t hurry to order everything practically immediately in advance. While many are hoping for an improvement from the recent launch of Bitcoin, this will unfortunately hardly be seen in the market situation, but the forthcoming LHR cards, which make Ethereum mining more difficult, may ease the pressure a bit.
At Computex 2021, Nvidia will also be giving a presentation on May 31, after which we will certainly be smarter.
