Sophie Turner says she didn’t tell her moms and dads about her <em>Game of Thrones</em>audition

It appears Sophie Turner was destined to play Sansa Stark, but it turns out she auditioned for her renowned role as a joke.

The English starlet, who made her acting debut in HBO’sGame of Thrones,states she auditioned for the fantasy series as a “jokey thing to do” with her pals. And due to the fact that she wasn’t major about auditioning, she overlooked to inform her moms and dads.

” I didn’t inform my parents I auditioned forVideo Game of Thrones, they just kind of discovered,” Turner recently informedStyle Paris,while promoting the filmDark Phoenix

The 23- year-old said the program’s casting director, Nina Gold, went to numerous schools, searching to cast young actors.

” Me and all my buddies auditioned,” she said. “We simply believed it was type of a fun, jokey thing to do. And then I simply got call back, after call back.

” My parents learnt when I remained in the final 7, and then my mom sort of gone nuts, and she called my father and stated, ‘I don’t understand if we can do this,'” Turner continued. “But my daddy stated, ‘Stop talking, this is what she has wanted her whole life. You need to let her try.'”

Turner ultimately accepted the opportunity to play the now-iconic Queen in the North, with her mama’s blessing.

” She got on me and stated, ‘You got the part,’ and we both ran and leapt in the pool and consumed loads of pizza that whole day. It was the very best day ever,” the starlet recalled.

Even though Turner may have tried as a joke, the star has actually been acting considering that she was 3 years of ages, at the Playbox Theatre in Warwick, England. It was at her high school in Warwick that she auditioned for the role of Sansa.
