Tesla might go into the mining organisation as it seeks to make sure that it can make sufficient batteries for future cars, CEO Elon Musk said on Tuesday.
Musk stated the electric-car maker’s ability to broaden its product lineup depends on being able to produce a big number of batteries.
“There’s not much point in including product complexity if we don’t have enough batteries,” he said.

As Tesla increases battery production, it will need to think about parts of the supply chain, like mining.
“We may enter into the mining company. I don’t know,” Musk said. “We’ll do whatever we need to guarantee that we can scale at the fastest rate possible.”
