A Year of Rain is for anyone who enjoys timeless real-time method


A Year of Rainfrom Daedalic is a game for those people with fond memories playing real-time method classics likeWarcraft3It’s an unapologetically devoted leisure of a style of RTS that’s coming back into fashion, with Blizzard’s ownWarcraft 3: Reforgeddue out later on this year.

Designed to be played in two-vs-two mode (though single-players can make use of AI partners), the video game has a 15- hour campaign, along with numerous multiplayer modes. It’s standard a four-corner map, in which two teams of two allies construct buildings, churn out units, collect resources, upgrade soldiers and set off for battle.

Three different factions are readily available. One is basic dream fare, the second is undead zombies, while the third is a collection of mythological misfits. Within each faction, I can pick one of 3 heroes, depending upon the type of powers I wish to focus on. One is a tank, another a therapist, while a third is more like a mage.
